Henry Westcott Climie came to New Zealand from England in 1875. He worked as a surveyor in the Wellington area and in the Manawatu
as did his brother James Climie and father Daniel Climie, an engineer who had previously worked on railways in Britain. Mount Climie was surveyed and named by one of them. |
